What you'll find at Chico's
A men's barbershop on SE Mill Plain: gentlemen's cuts, skin fades, beard trims and sculpting, hot towel shaves and kids' cuts. Your barber will work out the length and the shape with you — the way your hair actually grows, the shape of your head, and the way you really wear it — and put your beard back in order while you're in the chair.
What we offer
- Men's haircuts. Shears, clippers, or both. Say what you want and bring a photo if you have one; if you don't, your barber will settle it with you before the first cut. Shoulder-length and longer hair, and mullets, have their own option on the menu so the appointment has the time it needs.
- Skin fades. Faded down to the skin and booked as its own 45 min service, because nobody should be rushing a blend.
- Beard trim and full beard service. A clipper trim to shape and tidy, or a full shaping finished with a razor on the edges — the difference between a beard that is merely short and a beard that has a line.
- Hot towel shaves. Hot towels, oils and moisturizing products, a straight razor and half an hour in the chair. It is the oldest thing we do and still the best half hour on the menu.
- Buzz cuts. Up to two guard lengths, 15 min, in and out.
- Kids' cuts. Their own options and their own time. A boy who grows up in a real barbershop learns early how to take care of himself — and half the dads here book back to back with their sons.
- Shampoo wash as an add-on to any service.
Professional tools and products for every service. Ask your barber what to use at home and you'll get a straight answer for your hair and your skin, not a shelf of things you don't need.

Six barbers work here, and you choose yours every time you book, so your cut gets better with every visit instead of starting over with a stranger. Walk in when a barber is free; we're open 7 days a week, from Mon 10 AM · Tue–Thu 9 AM · Fri–Sat 8 AM · Sun 7 AM.
The shop itself is the other half of it — vintage chairs, brick, wood floors, a conversation if you want one and quiet if you don't. Half an hour where the day can wait.
What the price depends on
Time, mostly. Every service is booked for a set number of minutes, and the option you pick is what reserves them. A standard Haircut is $40 for 30 min. A Skin Fade is $50 for 45 min, because a blend down to the skin takes longer than a haircut. Shoulder-length and longer hair has its own $50 option for the same reason.
Beard work runs the same way: a Beard Trim is $30 for 30 min, and Full Beard Service and a Hot Razor Shave are $40 each. Haircut-and-beard combinations show their own options and times when you book, because what you choose for the hair changes the clock.
Nothing here is a starting-from price with a surprise at the chair. Every price is on the price list and in online booking, and what you see there is what applies on the day. A card is required to hold your appointment.
